I grew up in South Carolina, where I learned to eat grits the proper way: smothered with butter and sprinkled with salt. You can imagine my horror when I went to graduate school in upstate New York and saw people eating their grits with milk and sugar. I help finance Cloud/hosting/data center, managed services and software as a service (SaaS) companies for Layer 7 Capital. My inspirations include T.S. Eliot (banker turned poet); Wallace Stevens (insurance company executive turned poet), and Sabastiao Salgado (economist turned photographer). |
